Holt Racing is a technology startup working in the electric motorsport space. Founded by Oliver Holt in 2020, after 5 years of working at electric motorsport suppliers and in teams at all levels. The same set of recurring problems kept arising but there was always one question: why does no one just make this‽ Integrated solutions for all electric vehicle specific systems, including battery management, vehicle control and charging just were not available. This is what Holt Racing will to solve.

Oliver is PhD researcher in Power Electronics at the University of Bath, having also completed his MEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering between 2014 and 2019. With substantial EV system design experience gained since 2016 at a number of companies and race teams, when Motorsport UK, the UK governing body, announced the release of EV technical regulations for the 2021 season, he realised now was the time to solve the supply problem himself. Specification and development of a battery management system began under the name Holt Racing.

Holt Racing has worked with a number of large and small startups and established companies in both the automotive and motorsport sectors to help them achieve both their short-term and longer-term strategic goals, from initial feasibility studies through to software and hardware integration on production-ready vehicles.
